GWSMO can only update your calendar with invitations sent to your Google Workspace account. If you create a POP or IMAP account in your Outlook profile, calendar invitations sent to that account do not appear on your primary Outlook calendar (as they do with Exchange).

If you're using Outlook 2016, save the calendar events using Rich Text Format (RTF). You can add rich content such as links, formatted text, and tables to a calendar description in Outlook. For details, go to Delete or unsubscribe from a calendar. To delete the calendar completely, you must sign in to your Google Calendar account and delete it there. It's just no longer synchronized with Outlook. You can delete an Outlook calendar folder to remove it from your Outlook Calendar Navigation Pane but the calendar isn't deleted from your Google Calendar account. Instead, set up sharing by signing in to your Google Calendar account in a web browser. You can share calendars from GWSMO, but don't use the Share Calendar setting in Exchange. This is because event data always synchronizes with other people's calendars whether you send updates from Outlook. If you create or update an event in Outlook and choose not to send the change to attendees (by closing the event window and choosing not to send), attendee calendars update anyway. You can't drag an event from one calendar to another in Outlook, as you can when using Outlook with Microsoft Exchange. Moving or copying events between calendars Additionally, recipients of the event invitation receive an email with the name of the event as the subject and the attached item, yet without any attendee options. This is because attachments aren't synchronized with other people's Google calendars.
If you attach a document, contact, or other item to a calendar event in Outlook, you can view the attachment in your own Outlook calendar, but other attendees cannot view it in theirs. This is because Google Calendar supports only Free or Busy status, not the other alternatives.
